Starting Over

This is the start of a new life for this blog. Please disregard the previous posts, unless you really want to read my thoughts and critiques of the Internet.
I'm going to be in Taiwan for the next two months, and hopefully it'll be a very productive summer. The reason I wanted to stay here for two months is to learn medical Chinese; it's a skill I want to learn so I can apply that to my future professions. If all goes well, I'll have almost free-reign to do whatever I want at MinSheng hospital. I have connections and what not so it's possible.
But besides that, this blog will be a sounding board for all my thoughts of life in Taiwan and whatnot. By the way, my thoughts are concerned about food most of the time.

Taiwan is a very dirty and dingy place. It's not hard to imagine SARS and the avian flu spreading like crazy here haha jk jk lol let's hope that doesn't happen...again. Taipei is somewhat clean--like a Los Angeles kind of clean. Taoyuan--where I spend most of my time--is not pretty at all. There literally is crap all over the place. This is probably why everyone wears shoes. I learned my lesson when it rained when I visited a night market. GROSS.
Taiwan beer is good, though. It almost makes up for Taiwan's hygeine. Almost.
