Chickenheads!

There's a market by my grandma's house that sells fresh everything: fish, vegetables, meat, poultry...heads, kidneys, livers, intestines, hearts, gizzards, rectums, etc.

Markets like these are pretty common around Taiwan. They're definitely not like the farmers' markets in America. They're all pretty dirty, and the smell of dead fish and poultry hang in the air, but that means everything is fresh. Not only can you find all types of veggies and fruits at unbelievably cheap prices (around 50 cents to 1 dollar for most items) but the same goes for fish and livestock--including all body parts. Most people around here go to the market everyday to buy ingredients for that day's meals. Some people also are so lazy that they will just ride their mopeds through the market. I call this lazy, but once I get a moped, I'll probably do the same. That is, if i ever go to a market. I prefer 7-11s.

We also bought breakfast at a street stand. These types of stands are EVERYWHERE and sell deliciousness for cheap. I bought breakfast for 3 people, for about $4. This includes: 2 soy milks, 1 sesame milk, 2 pan-steamed meat buns (jien bao), 1 egg tortlla (dan bing), 1 burger/taco thing (gua bao), and 1 bowl of meat and rice (lu ro fan).
