A detour

We drove an hour and a half into the middle of nowhere for dinner. To be more specific, we drove an hour and a half into nowhere to eat a Kejia-style dinner. There are three types of people/cuisines in Taiwan: Chinese, Taiwanese, and Kejia.

I can't really distinguish it from the mishmash of food i've had over the past few days. The only things that I can say for sure that we had are: goose meat, goose intestines, bamboo shoots, and halibut with peanuty crust. There were others, but it was a lot of vegetables, tofu, and beef...nothing that makes me say, "Oh that's not Chinese food, that's Kejia food."
